Arijit Sarkar, M.Sc.

I received my Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College(JGEC), India in 2016. In 2019, I received my Master's in Systems and Control Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, India. From July 2019 till February 2020, I worked as a Process Automation Engineer in Bloom Energy India Pvt. Ltd. Afterwards, I was a PhD researcher in the University of Groningen from October 2020 till September 2024. Since October 2024, I am a scientific research assistant of the Chair Control Systems and Network Control Technology of the BTU Cottbus- Senftenberg, Germany, where I am working with the Young Investigator Group (YIG) Distributed Control and Operation of Integrated Energy Systems,’’ which is part of the project Control Systems and Cyber Security Lab (COSYS Lab)’’ of the Energy Innovation Center (EIZ).

My research interests lie in the broad area of Systems and Control Engineering. Specifically, I am in interested in model order reduction of control systems, modeling, analysis and control of port-Hamiltonian systems.
