Arijit Sarkar, Ph.D.

I received Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College (JGEC), India in 2016. In 2019, I received Master's in Systems and Control Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, India. From July 2019 till February 2020, I worked as a Process Automation Engineer in Bloom Energy India Pvt. Ltd. In 2025, I received Ph.D. in the field of Systems and Control from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. Since October 2024, I am a post-doctoral researcher in the Chair of Control Systems and Network Control Technology of Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) Cottbus- Senftenberg, Germany, where I am working with the Young Investigator Group (YIG) “Distributed Control and Operation of Integrated Energy Systems,’’ which is part of the project Control Systems and Cyber Security Lab (COSYS Lab) of the Energy Innovation Center (EIZ). My research interests lie in the broad area of Systems and Control. Specifically, I am interested in model order reduction of dynamical systems, modular modeling, analysis and control of port-Hamiltonian systems, multi-energy systems.
