Welcome to the homepage of the Control Systems and Network Control Technology Group (RuN) at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg.
The main objectives of the research activities in our group are:
- The development of control engineering methods for complex and networked dynamical systems;
- Their application to practical challenges, in particular to enhance climate neutrality in industry and society.
These aims naturally lead to an interplay between application-oriented and fundamental research projects.
Our teaching comprises introductory as well as advanced courses in systems and control engineering within the Faculty 3 Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Energy Systems. We also participate in the international study program Power Engineering. In addition, we offer several advanced courses in modeling, network control technology and automation of modern energy systems as well as Bachelor and Master thesis projects.
We work in close collaboration with the Business Area Control, Automation & Operation Management of the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Energy Infrastructures and Geothermal Systems (IEG).
