99 objects. 99 times future

99 objects. 99 individual stories, a common bridge to the future of Lusatia. The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg is working with its sponsoring association to create an exciting collection of objects and short texts that together paint a picture of the future of Lusatia. Everyone is invited to take part!

Where do we stand between the industrial past and diverse expectations for the future? The excessively used german term "Strukturwandel" is emotionally empty and difficult to grasp. In order to materialize it and make it comprehensible, we are developing a collection of "future" objects and texts by and with people from Lusatia that express their visions, hopes, fears and expectations.

Pioneer in transformation

As a child and actor, sufferer and pioneer in this transformation, the BTU maintains and strengthens many networks with actors from science, society, art and politics, who are to be given an opportunity to participate in the change in this book. With objects from the various living and working environments, the focus is on accessibility and an associated idea of the future. Numerous individual perspectives provide an exciting insight into the actual changes in the region.

Submit an object idea

Where is the future already accessible today? An object can be anything you can hold in your hand. We are collecting ideas until 30 January 2024.
