Boycot Huawei - don't buy phones or other IT products from them!

The German Society for Threatened Peoples (Gesellschaft für bedrohte Völker) has pointed out in a press release that the Chinese multinational corporation Huawei is implicated in the genocide of the Muslim nationalities of the Uyghurs and Kazakhs in the western Chinese province of Xinjiang / East Turkestan.

According to a Washington Post report, in 2018 Huawei participated in the development and testing of an artificial intelligence-based camera system that triggers a "Uyghur alert" when a member of that nationality is detected.

In particular, any science author should, at a minimum, claim from a publisher that she reserves the right to post the final manuscript version immediately (for example, as a PDF file) and the published version six months after publication. Alternative amendments to the copyright transfer form agreement are:

• The OpenAccess-CreativeCommons 1.0 Addendum reserves the right for the author to post the published version immediately and to grant others a Creative Commons "Attribution NonCommercial" license to use the article.
