Seminar »Writing a proposal within the EU Framework Programme Horizon 2020«

Fourth seminar of the lecture series »How to acquire funding for your research career – From writing a successful proposal to scientific career development«

The fourth seminar of the lecture series »How to acquire funding for your research career – From writing a successful proposal to scientific career development« will give an introduction into the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation »Horizon2020«. The three main funding lines (pillars) of Horizon2020 will be explained. These three pillars have very different funding targets, and hence different strategies have to be applied to convert research ideas into competitive proposals. Together with the different funding targets of the different pillars, these strategies will be discussed briefly. Furthermore, we will introduce the structure of a Horizon2020 proposal, which consists of the parts Excellence, Impact, and Implementation. Here, we will focus on the latter two parts (Impact and Implementation), because in these parts knowledge from outside scientific fields is especially important.

The individual seminars of the lecture series can be attended independently and will be held in English! Please register by E-mail.
