Faculty development plan

Mission Statement / Vision
Faculty 2: Environment and Natural Sciences sees itself as a forward-looking academic unit with a close integration of teaching and research. The focus is on the fields of the environment, biotechnology and materials chemistry, which are regarded as key areas for the future of sustainable development. The aim is to offer an attractive and sought-after range of degree programmes with a clear profile, whilst further expanding our research strength both nationally and internationally.
The Faculty aims to increase its visibility within the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, play a strategic role in the university’s development, and make an active contribution to sustainable transformation – particularly in Lusatia – through collaborations and innovative research.
