The Faculty of Health Sciences (FGW) https://www.fgw-brandenburg.de/en/ emerged from the initiative "Gesundheitscampus Brandenburg" and was established in June 2018 as a faculty of the following three independent universities: Brandenburg Technical University Cottbus-Senftenberg, University of Potsdam and Brandenburg Theodor Fontane Medical School.

Three FGW professorships are located at BTU and were filled in 2022:

Stem Cell Biology of Aging - Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Julia von Maltzahn (appointed 4/1/2022).
Molecular Immunology - Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Manuela Rossol (appointed as of 1.10.2022)
Medical Bioinformatics with focus on patient-oriented data acquisition - Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Alexander Schliep (appointed on 1.10.2022)
