In the context of the practical course, a distributed shared memory is developed on the PC cluster of the chair. Marked memory areas are to be synchronised on all nodes of the distributed system and write operations of a node are to be visible for all nodes. In order to make the use of the distributed memory transparent, the rights management is to be implemented with the memory management of the processor. The implementation is done with the help of the middleware TACO.

The practical course is offered at both 300 and 400 level, the task varies accordingly.

The internship is conducted as a three-week block seminar during the semester break between the winter semester and the summer semester. Nevertheless, registration must take place at the beginning of the winter semester
