The network project aims to provide empowerment and support services for FLINTA* individuals from third countries and for young migrants and their families. It also seeks to promote acceptance of immigrants within the host society and to foster closer coordination between government and non-governmental bodies in Brandenburg.
Academic supervision of the MvO project
The ‘Sociology for Social Work’ chair is providing academic support for the project, including an evaluation and accompanying research. This also enables us to provide impetus for further development and knowledge transfer. As academic partners, we advise the partner organisations on strategic and research methodology issues, collate project findings and carry out academic research into project-related questions.
Cooperation for Refugees in Brandenburg
The MvO project is part of the “Cooperation for Refugees in Brandenburg” (KFB). The following organisations are involved:
- ESTAruppin e. V.
- Psychosocial Centre for Refugees and Migrants (PSZ Brandenburg)
- Protestant Church District of Oberes Havelland
- Hoffnungstaler Foundation Lobetal
- Wittstock-Ruppin Church District
- Brandenburg Refugee Council
- the chair of ‘Sociology for Social Work’ at the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg
Predecessor project VASiB
‘Miteinander vor Ort’ (MvO) builds on the joint project ‘Improving reception conditions for those seeking protection, those entitled to protection and those entitled to temporary protection in Brandenburg’ (VASiB), which, in collaboration with its partner organisations, aimed to improve access to private accommodation for refugees.
