Heritage Studies Alumni Talk Series

Members of the Chair speak at the Heritage Studies Alumni Talk Series in April 2025.

Anca Claudia Prodan, Ph.D., assistant professor at the Chair of Technoscience Studies and member of the International Association of World Heritage Professionals (IAWHP) e.V., was invited to speak on the question of “Why pursue a PhD”, at the second session of the Heritage Studies Alumni Talk Series. Together with three doctoral candidates affiliated with the Chair - Elizabeth Bedón Sánchez, Paloma Leguizamón and Jonathan Bill Doe – they gave insights into their career paths and experience as researchers in Heritage Studies.

The Alumni Talk Series was launched in February 2025 to foster meaningful connections between students and alumni, and to provide guidance on possible academic and professional pathways after graduation. The second session explored research opportunities and PhD options for graduates of World Heritage Studies and Heritage Conservation & Site Management. The event was organized as roundtable discussion and it brought together about 30 participants, including students, doctoral candidates, and members of the IAWHP e.V., which has been established by graduates of World Heritage Studies in 2010.
