The BTU's Dual Career Service is part of the "Corporate Identity" department and is implemented by the Dual Career and Family Orientation Officer. The individual dual career offers within the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg are developed and implemented jointly or in coordination with the university management, the Appointments Department, the Research and Young Academics Departments, the Administrative Personnel Division, the staff representatives, the Equal Opportunities Officers, and the Center for Continuing Education.
In addition, the Dual Career Service at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg cooperates intensively with various stakeholders in the region, e.g. the service office works closely with the City of Cottbus and the City of Senftenberg.
The BTU is a member of the Dual Career Network of Brandenburg universities and the Dual Career Network Germany and works according to the Dual Career Service quality criteria of this network.

The dual-career network of Brandenburg's universities bundles important contact persons for dual-career couples. For the individual universities themselves, the network serves as a collegial exchange and joint further development of support options for dual-career couples.
Dual Career Network Germany
The Dual Career Network Germany is aimed at dual career services or dual career networks in science that are operated professionally and are interested in expanding the quality of their consulting services. It supports the know-how of its members through professional exchange, training and the development of quality standards.
Members of the DCND commit themselves to the Best Practice Guide, which defines minimum standards of dual career counseling. They assure professional support of dual career couples in their institutions and contribute to the development of the DCND according to their possibilities. (see DCND)
