Prof. Dr. rer. pol. habil. Magdalena Mißler-Behr has been working at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg since 2007. She is a member of the Institute for Economics, at the Faculty for Mechanical, Electrical and Industrial Engineering, presiding over the Chair for Planning and Innovation Management. The subject of Incorporation Management is also affiliated to her Chair. Her main areas of research and teaching hence pertain to the areas of planning tools in business management, methods and instruments in innovation process, risk management and technology transfer as well as foundation of new ventures. Business-management instruments and concepts have been applied here to a multiplicity of problems relating to various areas and sectors of production, energy and environment. She is Chairperson in the Examination Commission for the study courses of Economics as well as Intermittent Chairperson of the Senate. Her know-how is especially relevant here to sustainable protection and use of Heritage in the context of innovative concepts of heritage, for which she can contribute in providing answers to questions on management of World Heritage, on innovative management structures and management concepts, on essential building blocks and tools for management plans as well as questions regarding the cooperation across different disciplines in management concepts. Prof. Mißler-Behr will supervise management-related Ph.D.-projects in all focus areas.
