Architectural Phenomenology Colloquium
The Architectural Phenomenology Colloquium is a platform for informal professional exchange among colleagues and takes place annually on changing topics. The focus is on the critical examination of the role of architectural design in a time of heightened crisis awareness - the question of its significance and socially transformative power. The overarching framework is set by a theory of Architecture that sees itself as a mediator between sense, sensuality and concept.
The meetings take place as closed events. In addition to the permanent members, topic-related speakers are invited; furthermore, guests can be nominated by the permanent members. The Branitz Landscape Park near Cottbus (summer session) and Haus Lemke in Berlin (winter session) serve as venues for the meetings.
The activities of the defence are recorded on the homepage of the Chair of Architectural Theory of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, which acts as organizer. Individual lectures are made available to the public in the form of videos.
