Tip of the month: Everything in its place!

Our library is very special - on 6 very different floors you will find hundreds of thousands of different media in the IKMZ. When setting up the books & Co., the staff came up with a practical system that simplifies the use of the library and finding the relevant media
Each floor is assigned to certain subjects which might be also connected to the adjacent floors.

Here you'll find everything you need on those subjects - that's why we like to call ourselves a "Library of Short Paths" (not just because you have two elevators when the baskets are too heavy to carry). On each floor you will find not only the normal lendable media (general holdings on the shelves) but also the journals, semester apparatus collections (blue marking) and textbook collections (orange marking).

There are only 2 special locations that you should remember:

• The media library on the 6th floor with all "non-book media" such as DVDs, CDs, language learning programs, Blu-ray and even video cassettes (yellow marking) and
• the large formats on the third floor with all books from all floors and departments that are too big for the normal shelves (also yellow marking).

All Media from the media library and the large formats are available for everyone to borrow.
