Semester collection

A semester collection includes literature (mainly from the University Library) for individual courses of the current semester. In order to equally enable access to this literature to all students, the books from this collection can not be borrowed and can only be used in the library.

Not only books, but also links and other material can be included in the semester collection. All of them being referenced in the Electronic Semester collection (ESem). Go to the semester collections.

Books belonging to a semester collection are labelled with a blue sticker "Semesterapparat".

You can find the literature compiled in a semester collection in specially marked shelves in the corresponding floor of the ICMC or at the other libraries in Senftenberg and Sachsendorf. The semester collections are arranged alphabetically by lecturer.

In the library catalogue, the semester collection is indicated by "SE[number]-[lecturer's name]-[floor]" on the Holdings tab.

You can request access to the self-administration of the semester collection in ESem via bibliothek+semesterapparate(at)
