Handlettering - when writing comes alive
IIn this exhibition the new and special technique of handlettering is shown. The term describes the art of "letter drawing". Words or short texts are artfully drawn with different fonts, sizes, thicknesses and ornaments such as squiggles or lines. Each letter is unique and receives individual attention. The focus is on the individuality of the work and the personal handwriting.
The aim of this exhibition is to show how beautiful and meaningful a text can be written.
The exhibitor is a trainee in the university library of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg and is therefore surrounded by letters and words in her daily work. As a hobby she passionately designs postcards and greeting cards.
For more handlettering of the exhibitor, you can have a look at her instagram page (@bienejournal).
