vSim4FutureProfessionals Lernerfolge verbessern durch individuelle Lernpfade in Gesundheitsbezogenen Studiengängen
Runtime
4/2024 - 3/2026
As healthcare professions become more academic, the ability to make evidence-based decisions and other future skills are becoming increasingly important. Innovative digital learning methods can simulate these decision-making situations and promote skills development.
One such method is branching scenarios. These can be used to create interactive learning environments in which students influence courses of action through their decisions. The branching or branching of decisions creates individual learning scenarios. The possibilities for implementing branching scenarios range from text-based question-and-answer scenarios to complex variants with video or 360° elements.
The aim of the vSim4FutureProfessionals project, funded by the Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschule (Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education, StIL), is to test the benefits of this method for academic training in the healthcare professions in a participatory manner with students of the Master's programme in Vocational Education in the Healthcare Professions. To this end, students develop subject-specific case scenarios and draw up expectation horizons and scripts for virtual learning environments. The end products are integrated into a module, tested and evaluated. The focus is on the expected gains in competence resulting from the use of this innovative method compared to established methods of problem-based learning. If successful, the virtual learning environments will become an integral part of teaching in health-related degree programmes at the BTU.
