Phase 1
- Review of the current state of research and development on the topic of ‘3D printing of musical instruments’
- Internal networking within the BTU between the Institute for IGP and all relevant departments for the potential production and optimisation of 3D-printed musical instruments (e.g. e.g. ‘hybrid manufacturing’, COLab, etc.)
- Testing and evaluation of prototypes (violin) from a tonal and artistic perspective with the help of musicians
- Reflection on future music education applications for 3D instruments and exploration of potential marketing opportunities
Phase 2
- Collaboration with violin makers, musicians and music schools to test instruments in practice
- Development of smaller accessories for wind instruments
