Lusatian Centre for Digital Public Health (LauZeDiPH)

Runtime

5/2023 until 12/2032

Digital technologies are part of today's society. Digital solutions, such as apps, trackers and online platforms, also harbour great potential for improving #health, #health research and #healthcare. They are particularly beneficial if they take into account the needs, requirements and living conditions of the population. Only in this way can as many people as possible benefit from digitalisation and health inequalities resulting from a "digital divide" be avoided.

The Lusatian Centre for Digital Public Health (LauZeDiPH) researches population health in Lusatia and, on this basis, develops needs-oriented, health-promoting digital services for the people of this region. It also takes into account the challenges and opportunities arising from the current social and economic structural change as well as the regional characteristics of Lusatia.

The population perspective of LauZeDiPH is closely linked to issues of equal opportunities and data security. The following are involved:

  • Residents
  • Patient representatives
  • Healthcare practitioners
  • Politicians
  • Experts on ethical and legal issues
  • Social stakeholders in Lusatia
