Transfer Alliance Alterperimentale
Runtime
10/2023 until 9/2026
In rural areas in particular, population decline and demographic change are coinciding with rapidly advancing requirements for transformation towards a climate-neutral and digital society. Older people in particular are affected by this in the areas of public services, health, care and agriculture. This poses major challenges for local stakeholders.
The Alterperimentale project focuses on socio-technical, socio-ecological and socio-spatial innovations. Sustainable living and working environments in rural areas are to be created in a participatory manner and in collaboration with older people. The aim is not only to ensure social participation. In particular, regionally relevant topics in social work, gerontology and regional development are to be addressed and researched together with local practitioners.
With its innovative approach, the network impressed the selection committee of the ‘T!Raum – Innovations for the Future of the Regions’ funding line of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and will receive a total of €5.9 million in funding for three years until August 2026.
