Tasks at the chair

Akilan is working on providing a systematic basis for selecting and optimizing multifunctional heat exchangers for HEPS systems on the basis of heat transfer testing, tensile testing, low-cycle fatigue testing, corrosion testing, digital model integration and digital twin as a part of the AGIL project. The focus is placed on the experimental and numerical evaluation of additively manufactured lightweight structures and heat exchanger concepts.

Research

Hybrid electric drive systems, thermal systems & management, heat transfer
