Background to the project

The project is coordinated by the International Relations Office at BTU Cottbus – Senftenberg in cooperation with the Career Center.

The main objective is to increase the academic success of international students at BTU Cottbus – Senftenberg, whilst also promoting integration of international students into the labor market. The project activities take place especially in Cottbus/region Spree-Neiße and Senftenberg/region Oberspreewald-Lausitz, as well as other regions of the Federal State of Brandenburg.

To achieve these objectives, the following activities are planned:

  1. Expansion of student recruiting specially on Dual Study programmes
  2. Monitoring the academic success of international students by optimizing the advising service mechanisms
  3. Networking: cooperation among cities, employers and business associations to promote cultural diversity in the region
  4. language training to improve communication skills of international students (workshops)
  5. Awareness-raising measures for enterprises (intercultural trainings)
