BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg and QLEE sign cooperation agreement

Since April, BTU professor Christiane Hipp has been commuting between Brussels and Cottbus. Selected for this task by Brandenburg's Minister of Science, Research and Culture Dr. Manja Schüle, she wants to launch a European network that focuses on the cultural and creative industries in the context of transformation and change.

Students of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) present their start-up idea to the jury in the final of the EUNICE Imagine Innovation Cup. The finalists of the EUNICE Contamination Lab also successfully completed the Italian Summer School from July 10 to 14, 2023.

Within the framework of the project with the working title "Honesty and Behavior of Women and Men in German Application Procedures", survey experiments with a total of 1,700 participants were carried out with the help of the equal opportunities project funding of the equal opportunities office of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.

The EUNICE university alliance, which includes Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU), has secured 14.4 million in funding to secure the consortium's activities until 2027. With three new partner universities, the alliance grows to ten universities.

Students of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) are allowed to present their start-up ideas in Italy: The winning team "Modeck" will compete in the finals of the EUNICE Imagine Innovation Cup on July 18 in Catania. Likewise successful students of the EUNICE Contamination Lab will further develop their ideas in a Summer School from July 10-14.

On Friday, June 23, 2023, in front of more than 100 stakeholders of the Lusatian cultural and creative industries, a new sector-related European funding framework, the EIT Culture & Creativity (European Institute of Innovation and Technology, Culture & Creativity) was presented and participation was encouraged.

The European Partnership in EIT Culture & Creativity brings together stakeholders in around 20 countries in Europe. The aim is to fund the special structures of the cultural and creative industries in various regions, including Lusatia. To this end, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) provides up to 70 million euros per year.
