Current services and information on using the library
The library at the central campus is open Monday - Friday from 9 am - 5 pm. The Senftenberg and Sachsendorf site libraries open from 9 am - 3 pm.
When visiting the University Library, please log in and out using the available QR codes and the BTU "Contact Tracking" web app in order to trace possible chains of infection. Currently, the following library services are offered:
Registration / extensions of library cards for external library users: currently free of charge for all user groups, please direct questions to: bibliothek+service(at)b-tu.de
Borrowing: only at the self check-out
Return: only via return box
Extensions: due to the situation, all loan periods have been and will be increased. Please check your library account for the current loan period or send an email to: bibliothek+ausleihe(at)b-tu.de.
Reminders: since 1.11.2020 again according to the fee schedule
Collection of orders: stacks, branches and reservations: Collection shelf and borrowing via self-checkout, please direct questions to: bibliothek+ausleihe(at)b-tu.de
Interlibrary loan: orders can be placed, but delivery or collection will only be possible from mid-January, Please direct questions to: bibliothek+fernleihe(at)b-tu.de
Payment of fees: by payment machine or bank transfer, stating the library number.
Information: questions concerning literature research and acquisition, standards, patents, notes, maps, databases and journals should be addressed to: bibliothek+info(at)b-tu.de
Guided tours: are currently not conducted
Online offers: such as "Ask an Expert", online tutorials
In-house lectures: cannot take place at the moment. Our library courses will be offered either as self-learning courses in Moodle or video conferences. Please get updated about our course offers on our website.
General hygiene regulations
- If you feel any signs of illness, please stay at home.
- The University Library may only be entered with a face mask.
- Observe the general rules of hygiene: Observe the minimum distance of 1.5 m, better 2 m as well as the hygiene rules for sneezing and coughing; wash your hands regularly.
- Please keep a distance of at least 3 m when staying in the reading rooms.
- Film dispensers are available at various locations to cover the keyboards.
