Architectural ideas for a possible redesign of the IKMZ

Our award-winning building should evolve and better meet the needs of its visitors. The IKMZ is to become a place of learning, experimentation, knowledge exchange, communication, but also a place of comfort, meeting and social interaction.

At the end of 2021, the students of the architecture department at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg were to contribute their own architectural ideas for a possible redesign of the IKMZ.

The IKMZ management, together with Prof. Karl Plastrotmann, issued an impromptu for this purpose.

The design concepts are presented in an exhibition at the IKMZ.
