The world of animals

Welcome to my little animal photo world!
As a trainee in media design for video and audio at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, I have many varied tasks that revolve around photo, video and audio production as well as their preparation and post-processing. One of my main activities is photographing people and events and editing photos to document everything that happens at the university. Many of the photos and videos of my team and myself can be found on BTU's social media channels and website.

Combined with my love of animals and fascination for these creatures, I set off on 30.08.2024 to take a few photos at Cottbus Zoo. There was a photography competition at my technical college with the theme “WILD”, which I really wanted to take part in (I thought the theme was great!) and BTU was happy to support this excursion as personal training in the field of photography.
I spent the whole day there, observing and photographing one animal after the other with joy and fascination. I hope that you can feel this joy when looking at the photos and, like me, are impressed by the talent of my models
The exhibition will open on June 02, 2025! In addition, a meeting is planned to present the pictures personally, to give some additional information and to enable an exchange between all interested parties, animal lovers and photographers. The exact time will be announced at the entrance to the exhibition. If you are attending the meeting, I look forward to meeting you

And in case you're wondering how the competition turned out: my dromedary actually made it onto the cover of the OSZ Technik Teltow photo calendar for 2025 and secured the main prize of the competition with another picture in September (and November). I was delighted when the news was announced. But I'm even happier and more grateful for the passion I was able to find in animal photography thanks to the competition and for BTU, which enables me to pursue my interests and get involved in my education.
