Mobile Geriatric Rehabilitation (MOGERE)

Runtime

July 2025 to June 2028

Geriatric rehabilitation takes into account the specific needs of older people. The aim of rehabilitation is to restore independence and prevent older patients from becoming dependent on care.

Mobile geriatric rehabilitation thus also reaches groups of people who, for whatever reason, do not wish to or are unable to make use of outpatient or inpatient rehabilitation. In mobile rehabilitation, a geriatric team visits patients in their homes and provides them with therapy and care there.

The aim of the MOGERE project is to develop a holistic approach to rehabilitation care and to create a medical information platform as a contribution to regional innovation capacity. By establishing a well-connected interdisciplinary team, it contributes in the long term to employment and to strengthening the healthcare sector in the Hoyerswerda region, whilst supporting people in the catchment area in regaining their independence in everyday life.
