Welcome to your personalized audio tour of the Information, Communication, and Media Center (IKMZ) at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, a masterpiece of modern architecture!
Designed by the world-renowned architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron, this iconic building is not only the centerpiece of the university campus but also a landmark of Cottbus. Since its opening in 2005, the IKMZ has attracted architecture enthusiasts and those seeking knowledge alike.
Terms of use
- A mobile device capable of playing the MP3 file (approx. 8 MB, 11 min)
- Headphones or a very low volume setting (hold your smartphone directly to your ear)
- Internet access to download the file in advance at home to a playback device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player),
or
mobile data (= internet access on the go) to listen to the file on site
Important: We do not offer public Wi-Fi for visitors!
Tour information
- The starting point is in front of the IKMZ building. It doesn’t matter which side you’re on.
- Pause the video using the pause button when we ask you to do so, so you can take a closer look at specific locations and proceed to the next stop.
- The duration depends on how much time you need to walk through the building, look around, and perhaps take some photos. Plan on at least 20 minutes.
Please remember to be as quiet as possible during your tour! Students are studying in our library and do not want to be disturbed.
