The Forum "Adapting Ho Chi Minh City to the impacts of Climate Change" intended to promote scientific exchange and cooperation. In cooperation with the HCMC Institute for Development Studies (HIDS) and the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Hanoi, the German research consortium held the 1st Megacity Conference on "Adapting Ho Chi Minh City to the Impacts of Climate Change". The conference featured presentations by international and Vietnamese experts from national ministries, the city administration and relevant institutions. By sharing experiences and insights on the manifold issues of climate change in urban areas, the conference aimed to present and discuss substantial contributions for adaptation measures in urban and environmental planning and management.

The workshop "Green Technology - Sustainability, Urban Planning and Building Design. Fostering German-Vietnamese Cooperation" was platform for German companies in the field of energy efficiency and advanced building technology to display innovative products. Furthermore, a series of presentations on the topic were held as well as a round table discussion.
