  • Henrique Manhique was awarded for the excellent graduation of his study program "Environmental and Resource Management" at the BTU, by the VDI (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure)
  • Frank Wätzold was awarded the UFZ-Research award 2018 together with Martin Drechsler and Karin Johst for their team work on the development and application of environmental-ecological modelling at the Helmholtz-Zentrum für Umweltforschung in Leipzig on October 1, 2018.
  • Winner of the prize for the "best student presentation": Conference Presentationby Charlotte Gerling: "The Impact of Organic Farming on Biodiversity in the Context of an Agri-environment Scheme" at the "World Conference of Natural Resource Modeling 2018" on the 11.6.18 in Guangzhou, China.
  • Mary Nthambi was awarded the Soroptimist Prize 2017, honouring "[f]emale BTU students with good and very good performance who stand up among students for international communication and intercultural understanding". (Link)
  • Mary Nthambi won the poster prize for Faculty 2 at the BTU Young Researchers’ Days poster competition with her poster on "Environmental Valuation and Analysis of Climate Change Adaptation Measures in Agriculture: A Case Study of Makueni County, Kenya" (October 2017)
