Janina Klose has been researching and designing learning environments at the intersection of technical education, sustainability and social inclusion since 2017. After studying Materials Science at RWTH Aachen University, she initially focused on the question of how technical learning can be made accessible, in particular for disadvantaged children and young people. In various educational projects, she developed and researched practical STEM programmes within open child and youth work.

As part of her doctoral studies and the CaReSo project, she developed a repair pedagogy for general education. In doing so, she investigated how repair can be embedded as an educational subject in school contexts and which skills, pedagogical approaches and educational networks are relevant to this. Methodologically, she works with qualitative and design-oriented research approaches.

For Lausitz Labs, she researches and develops educational ecosystems that open up access to STEM education for young people and support sustainable regional development.
