For your e-publication, you will receive a free DOI (Digital Object Identifier) per e-mail. DOIs enable permanent availability and referencing of electronic publications. Your DOI will be generated before the final publication of your document and should be included in your file.
Use the registration form to transfer all needed metadata to our Digital Repository (OPUS). Otherwise you can ask a librarian. Afterwards we will generate and inform you about the DOI of your publication. Please include the DOI in the imprint of your document. For dissertations, the designated place is the lower left corner on the back of the title page. A subsequent DOI generation for already published publications is not possible. One requirement for the assignment of a DOI is that no DOI has yet been awarded for the publication.
The DOI-Service of the University Library of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg is operated in cooperation with the TIB Hannover / DataCite.
