BTU Debate Club starts in the summer semester 2023

Debating promotes the ability to argue and assert oneself, it trains active listening skills and enables the targeted reiteration of arguments put forward by others. In the BTU Debate Club, BTU employees and students have the opportunity to learn how to debate and thus present their own arguments convincingly and deal with opposition productively.

The BTU Debate Club will meet every Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Bühne 8 (Erich-Weinert-Str. 2, 03046 Cottbus) during the summer semester 2023, starting on April 19, 2023.

In addition to the weekly meetings, the Debate Club also holds training evenings together with DebateConsult. The dates: June 7 and 14, 2023. The highlight of the semester is the public summer barbecue debate "We roast you!" on July 5, 2023.
