Relief for female committee members and local Equal Opportunities Officers
To support and promote the involvement of female committee members and Local Equal Opportunities Officers, the Equality Office provides funding to ease their workload. This support may take the form of proportionate funding over a specific period, as well as an increase in the number of student staff by up to 4 hours per week. The entire recruitment process remains the responsibility of the respective department.
In addition, upon application, material resources are also approved, for example, for participation in further training or for technical equipment required for committee work.
Who is eligible for funding?
All local Equal Opportunities Officers, femalemembers of the Senate, the Senate committees and the faculty councils from every status group may apply for the relevant funding. In individual cases, funding may also be granted where there is a particularly heavy workload or involvement in several committees (including appointment committees).
Application
Funding is always subject to financial criteria. There is no legal entitlement to this funding.
Please note! Local Equal Opportunities Officers at the Central Administration and the IKMZ: As these are administrative bodies, you may only apply for non-personnel funding for other promotional and support measures (e.g. further training, coaching, networking, specialist literature).
| Applying for staff funding: The funds applied for should be used to support your own academic work or your work as a committee member. The specific tasks of the student employee who supports you in your teaching and research work must be explained in the application form. When submitting the application, it is essential to state the total amount of staff funding required. This helps with better planning and the allocation of funding to promote gender equality. | Applying for material resources: Applications for these resources should be made informally by email. The following must be specified: the nature and extent of the workload arising from committee work, the nature and level of the requested relief from this workload, and the purpose for which the requested material resources will be used.
