Debate Training Evening

Debating - this is the art of presenting convincing arguments and counter-arguments on a contentious topic - both professionally and in one's private life. This form of rhetoric requires practice and training. The next training evening will take place on February 22 - previous experience is not required - just bring a good mood and have fun!

- An initiative of the BTU's Central Equal Opportunity Officer -Jens Henning Fischer, Master Debate Trainer from DebateConsult The aim of debating is to promote the argumentation and assertiveness skills of each participating person. At the same time, the awareness of good argumentation is trained, both in the professional and private environment. You will practice the art of listening attentively to one another and in the targeted reiteration of arguments put forward by the other person. The training evening offers you the best opportunity to test and try out, but also to further consolidate learned debating skills. With professional support from a debating coach you will receive

  • Theoretical input on outlining and teamwork
  • Exercises on outlining and teamwork
  • Preparation and execution of a debate
  • Subsequent improvement feedback
