The study project Being in Lusatia/Łužyca – Encountering Heritage at our Doorstep explores heritage-making in the area where we live, study, and work, in and around Cottbus. Guided by our curiosity, we examine how the past is negotiated in the present, in relation to both former and current structural transformations in our region. During this project, we will explore which heritage is encountered in Lusatia, focusing on the people doing, managing, and experiencing heritage as an everyday practice.
