Export certificate under Windows 10

To export a user certificate in Windows 10, proceed as follows:

1. Press the [Windows] key and type Internet Options. Confirm with the [Enter] key.

2. Open the Contents tab and click the Certificate button.

3. Under My Certificates, select the certificate you want to export and click Export...

4. The certificate export wizard will then open. Select ‘Next’ and then ‘Yes, export private key’ in the next dialogue box.

5. In the subsequent dialogue box, select ‘Private information exchange’ and tick the options ‘Include all certificates in the certification path if possible’ and ‘Enable certificate privacy’.

6. In the next dialogue box, tick ‘Password’ and choose a secure password for encrypting the certificate. For encryption, select ‘AES256-SHA256’.

7. In the next step, select the storage location and name of the file to be exported.

8. Now complete the process. You will now find the corresponding file containing your certificate and private key in the selected storage location.
