Central BTU account

A central BTU account is required for many services in the BTU network. This account consists of a username (login) and a password. The account is personal and may not be passed on (see network regulations).

Employees and students of BTU Cottbus can use the central IT services with their BTU account. External users can also be granted access within the framework of the terms of use.

With this BTU account, you can use the following central IT services:

  • central mail service
  • LAN access in public areas of the BTU
  • wireless LAN of the BTU
  • VPN service of the BTU
  • access to the IT services computer pool

Please note that some BTU institutions manage their own accounts to regulate access to their decentralised network resources. These are independent of the BTU account.
