Limitations
If IT-Services receives information from the BTU administration that you are no longer a member of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, your central BTU account will be limited to the next 30 days. During this time, you should definitely back up your data. After the time limit has expired, you will no longer have access to the resources of the IT services in the BTU campus network.
However, the data of your central BTU account will be retained and your mail forwarding or your out-of-office message will remain active until 180 days after the expiry of the account time limit. After this period, your central BTU account will be deactivated - including your mail settings. After a further 180 days, your data will be removed from the central IT Services systems.
You can have temporary BTU accounts extended by providing appropriate proof.
Note for ‘external’ BTU accounts:
External BTU accounts are generally limited in time. Once this time limit has expired, you will be treated in the same way as the BTU accounts mentioned above.
