Seminar 2 - WS 2025/26: Self-Organizing Wireless Networks
These days most computing devices provide some means of wireless communication that can be used to create ad-hoc networks for information interchange. Wireless sensor networks are one prominent example where a potentially large number of sensor nodes must establish a wireless network in a self-organising manner.
In this seminar we will discuss self-organising mesh networks in depth, including network hardware, communication protocols and security issues.
Basic knowledge of communication systems and protocols are required for attendance.
Students will be assigned a number of scientific papers on related topics they have to report on in an oral presentation with slides and a written summary on the assigned topic.
Additionally, regular attendance is mandatory to receive the credits.
