Marlene Eimterbäumer, Conference: 9th Responsible Management Education Research, 2022.

Report on participation in the 9th Responsible Management Education Research Conference in Innsbruck The theme of the conference was to promote social impact through entrepreneurship and innovation through responsible management education for the changemakers of tomorrow. On Tuesday, the day started with workshops on Climate Change and Future Litarcy - already during registration, participants could choose a workshop. In the afternoon, meetings took place in existing working groups. The welcome event in the evening (Fig. 1) focused primarily on PRME. PRME (pronounced Prime) aims to embed the SDGs in the teaching of management courses - according to a presentation, 1/3 of all graduates are business alumni, so there is great potential in promoting skills such as Future Litarcy among management students. Future Litarcy i s the "skill that enables people to better understand the role of the future in what they see and do. Having future literacy empowers the imagination and improves our ability to prepare for, recover from, and invent change" (UNESCO). The next two days each started with two keynotes in the morning followed by a panel discussion. On Wednesday morning and afternoon and Thursday morning, there was also a session with presentations in which the submitted papers were presented. I presented our submitted paper on Thursday morning - afterwards there was a positive exchange about it.

Olga Sagradov, 13th Conference on New Research Directions in Management Accounting, 2022.

Report on participation in the 13th conference on new direstions in management accounting.

The annual conference on new research directions in management accounting was held in Lisbon, Portugal, December 14-16, 2022. The conference was attended by many renowned researchers (Prof. Van der Steen, Prof. Schäffer, Prof. Grabner, Prof. Möller and others) as well as young PhD students and post-docs. I was admitted to the conference with my paper on "Management Accounting Change with Machine Learning: A literature review on application experience".

The conference program included plenary sessions, presentation and discussion of research papers in the sessions, and a reception and dinner that served as networking events. Two thematically similar articles were presented and discussed in each session. The authors of the articles presented in a session also acted as discussants for each other. Thus, each session was structured as follows: The first author presented his/her findings for 25 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of comments and remarks by the discussant, and a 10-minute discussion with the other audience members of that session. The same was repeated for the second paper. Each paper was allotted 45 minutes, so each session lasted an hour and a half.

I was very lucky to be invited to this conference because I was able to meet many PhD students and professors as well as female professors. I also received quite a lot of feedback on my work, including constructive criticism, which will allow me to continue to advance my research. I am very satisfied with my participation in this conference and I will definitely try to participate again in the future.

Viktoria Arnold, Seminar: BIM - Finding and implementing your own digitization strategy, 2019

I come from Siberia, from a country where, on the one hand, small settlements are still heated with wood and coal and often have no electricity, water and sewage connections. On the other hand, as in the world, the urbanization of the population is growing and home building on the outskirts of the city is developing rapidly. In today's world, the topic of climate change and environmental protection is being pushed, but the term sustainability includes two dimensions besides ecology: Economy (economic efficiency) and sociology (people and their needs). The rating systems for buildings should serve to ensure that it is built in a sustainable way (i.e. ecologically, economically efficient and people-oriented). In addition, a building should be technically durable, capable of reconstruction and deconstruction, so that resources are used as efficiently as possible and returned to circulation. Furthermore, the energy and heat supply of a building during its use is a major issue. Today, there are only 4 single-family houses in Russia (pilot projects) that have been evaluated from a sustainability point of view. That means, something has to be done, so that there is more and more sustainable building. That would be my goal. However, the results of the work should serve for both countries (for Russia and for Germany), since here also only 0.005% of the one-/two-family houses were certified.

Research topic: Sustainable building, sustainability rating systems for buildings; real estate economics

Details of the research trip (goal, period, purpose) The advanced training on "BIM - Finding and implementing your own digitalization strategy" at the University of Wuppertal (research pioneer for this topic) was particularly important for me because the BIM concept is to be scientifically implemented in my dissertation in the sustainability rating system for single-family houses as an increase in the efficiency of all planning and execution processes of buildings, but also of the rating process itself. Participation in the seminar in March 2019 has enabled me to receive funding from Equality (travel allowances for young female scientists), for which I am very grateful.
