Ordering the software

If you would like to use Abaqus, please send your request to IT Services first. You will then receive a current offer from our trading partner.

If you decide to accept the quote, send us your licence order with the following information:

  • Name of the licence holder, faculty, chair
  • Cost centre to be charged, title
  • Licence order according to quote

The costs will be transferred accordingly.

Download and installation

The software is installed locally by the user; licence management is handled centrally via the IT Services licence server (license.b-tu.de, port 2700).

ABAQUS uses FLEXlm to control the licence server. Each ABAQUS application must be able to communicate with the licence server without interruption during execution. Access to ABAQUS is controlled by tokens.
