Ground cover management in South African fruit production systems and related consequences for biological control services.

Benjamin Schnerch is investigating how different approaches of ground cover management simultaneously affect the provision of ecosystem services (pest control), disservices (pest infestation) and biodiversity (arthropods) under different climatic conditions. He aim to survey the diverse spider communities in South African fruit orchards.

Benjamin Schnerch holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Landuse and Water Management from the Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg.
