  1. To examine the key concerns and potential impacts of the Julius Nyerere Hydropower Project within the Selous Game Reserve World Heritage Site.  
  2. To examine the role of the Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) System used in the conservation and management of the Natural Heritage in Tanzania and the involvement of the local communities who are the heritage's first guardians.
  3. To examine the effectiveness of Tanzania's existing Legal Framework and Heritage Institutions in recognizing, managing, and safeguarding the Natural Heritage.
  4. To Examine the Transposition of the World Heritage Convention into the National Legal Framework for protecting the Environment and the Natural Heritage in Tanzania.
