Inbox

This button takes you to the Inbox folder, which is checked for new emails. You can also check the currently open folder for new emails by clicking on the circular green arrows next to the folder name. The intervals at which new emails are automatically checked can be set under Settings/Webmail/Message Inbox.

New (unread) emails appear in bold on a light blue background. Read emails appear in normal font on a white background, and replied emails have a green background. Emails marked as important appear in italics on a pink background.

To read an email, click on it. If it contains an attachment, you can either open it directly (this involves a security risk) or save it (recommended). To open it, click on the icon to the left of the attachment, which appears at the bottom of the email header, above the actual text. To save the attachment, click on the disk icon to the right of the attachment. Using the grey bars above and below the email, you can delete, reply to, forward or redirect the email, add the sender to the (spam) filter list, display the message source text, and save or print the email.

Emails can be sorted according to various criteria, e.g. by date or sender, by clicking on the corresponding field, e.g. Date or From. The field used for sorting is highlighted with a blue background. The sorting criteria can also be defined in the Settings/Webmail/Display settings for folder view and overview.

If you have enabled the use of the address book under Settings/Address book/Address books (by selecting My address book), a small book icon appears next to the recipient and sender addresses. Clicking on this icon adds the corresponding address to the address book. If the entry to the address book was successful, a message appears in a coloured line directly below the navigation buttons.

If you have received an unwanted message (spam) from a sender from whom you do not wish to receive any further emails, you can define a corresponding filter rule (spam filter). To do this, select the unwanted email and then click on Exclusion list. A window appears with the filter rules and a new rule: emails with the same sender as the unwanted email will be deleted immediately.

To move emails to another folder, you select the emails, choose the destination folder from the pop-down menu on the right-hand side above or below the emails, and then click on Move next to it. Copying emails to another folder works in the same way. To switch to another folder, select the desired folder from the pop-down menu at the top right of the page and then click on Open folder.
