Description:
PhD students develop the capacity to advance their own research by learning about the methodology of grant proposal writing and preparing a first vision of a grant proposal themselves. They learn to research and identify suitable funding organizations, how to establish contacts and build networks to funding institutions and organizations that are of relevance for institutionalizing their research. While preparing a first draft of a grant proposal, PhD students become familiar with funding institutions and their goals, contents, methods, which are relevant for the further development of their respective field of research and learn about do’s and dont’s in grant proposal writing.

Module Examination:
Interim presentation on the subject, 20 min (20%)
Development and submission of a written grant proposal by the end of the teaching period (80%)
