GeoFlow II

Principle of interdisciplinary GEOFLOW data analysis. The raw data contains telemetry and image data, which are synchronized in a data base at BTU Cottbus. The fringe pattern evaluation (also at BTU) for GeoFlow I is based mostly on forward modelling by means of calculation of fringe patterns from numerically simulated temperature fields. For some data from GeoFlow I and especially for GeoFlow II an inverse modelling technique is regarded, too. Numerical simulations are done with the numerical code of Rainer Hollerbach and GAIA from German Aerospace Center Berlin. Further interpretation of fluid flow dynamics are based on non-linear and bifurcation theories in Avignon, Paris and Potsdam. The transfer to cylindrical geometries is discussed additional between BTU Cottbus and LeHavre.
