„The Future of the Memory of the World Programme“

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Memory of the World Programme, the Institute Heritage Studies organized, together with the Chair of Technoscience Studies at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, an expert think tank to review the validity of MoW’s philosophical foundations, consider MoW’s current situation and reflect on its challenges and potential. A discussion paper summarising the informational content of the think tank was released as a result and it addresses some of the complex issues now surrounding MoW.
Anlässlich des 30-jährigen Bestehens des Memory of the World-Programms (MoW) organisierte der Lehrstuhl für Allgemeine Technikwissenschaft an der Brandenburgischen Technischen Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg, gemeinsam mit dem Institut Heritage Studies, einen Think Tank, um die Gültigkeit der philosophischen Grundlagen von MoW zu überprüfen, die aktuelle Situation von MoW zu analysieren und Vorschläge neuer Herausforderungen und Potenziale zu erarbeiten. Als Ergebnis wurde ein Diskussionspapier veröffentlicht, das die Arbeit des Think Tanks zusammenfasst und einige der komplexen Fragen aufgreift, die im Zusammenhang von MoW derzeit bestehen.
