Set-up and procedure
In a wooden box there are inlay strips into which stroking elements are inserted. These are covered with materials with different tactile properties (e.g. coarse linen fabric, aluminium, leather, studded rubber, etc.). The basic idea of the game is that children stroke each other with the stroking elements, perceive them and find the corresponding elements in their insertion strip with their eyes closed. This idea can be varied in many different ways, resulting in even more different ways to play.
- One variation would be for one player to guess the material of a stroking element that the other player has described.
- Another version would be for the players to stroke each other with their eyes closed with the elements and then describe the sensations or find a solution together.
