Reality Check
"RealityCheck" can be used as an icebreaker at the beginning to get to know each other, for (re)activation as an energiser after a lunch break or for working on complex topics such as group processes or communication. We have "RealityCheck" in two different design sets!

The aim of the exercise is to put the picture cards in the right order. To do this successfully, all participants must present their own views, listen to the others and coordinate them in the group process. Depending on the section, you can immerse yourself in different realities and look through the eyes of others, whereby a variety of topics are practised by the participants, such as experiencing the ambiguity of messages, active listening, everyone communicating from their own perspective, meta-communication and working towards an overarching goal.
Number of participants
Minimum: 5; optimum: 16; maximum: 16
Duration
10-15 minutes, without evaluation discussion
Place
Normal seminar room with tables
Structure and procedure
All the picture cards form a coherent picture story. At the beginning, each participant receives one of the large-format round picture cards, which must not be shown to the other participants, i.e. everyone looks at their own card and tells what they see in detail in turn. The others should actively listen. Afterwards, the participants should exchange ideas with each other. Through purposeful, detailed descriptions, the participants can succeed in finding the correct order of the images. At the end - if everyone is sure it is the right order - the pictures are put down together, creating a visual WOW effect that the group can enjoy together.
